A little over 3 weeks

Hey family----Not much longer hope to hear from you soon if I haven't already. We are so excited to meet up with everyone and catch up on the good times.

IT's coming ITS COMING

Our family reunion is just around the bend and we are still in need of some love. By now everyone should know if you are coming to the reunion or not. Please let us know so we can buy the right amount of food. A simple yes or no is sufficient.
We have all the Meals planned out and days that we might need your help.

Of course we will be doing our auction as usual, we will have some fun free events for everyone and or donation.  We may have a talent show, rook tournament, karaoke night, campfire songs and skits, possibly a game of kick the can, pie eating contest, group photo day, family scavenger hunt and some fun awards.

We can't wait to see you there and hopefully you have paid up.

Sorry if any of the letter was confusing. I did have a few questions raised and so I will put that on here.
I will be collecting all the money- I have already made reservations so if you are wanting one of the sights please let me know. The only thing that is left now are tent sites. Even though they say tent sites they still have room for a camper, just no electricity. If you think you might bring a camper for the tent site please let me know because they do have certain length restrictions for each site. Also Some people mentioned that they might bunk with other members of their family (share a tent site). That is absolutely fine. We can only have 8 per site but if we have the tents out in the field a little bit it will kind of all blend together. Please also let me know if you are going to do this so that I can include you on that site-Remember thought that one of the group members will still need to pay for the site (to me).

Dear family,

            I wanted to send along an update on the family reunion since there have been many questions and concerns. Originally I sent out a letter at Christmas time regarding payment and dates. However after discussing information with a few relatives I have been informed I need to change a few things. In order for our reunions to continue we have to charge for the sites so that whoever takes over next time will have enough money to work with for the following year’s reunion. The wonderful part is that we are giving a discount so you don’t have to pay the whole amount and you don’t have to pay a reservation fee.

            The dates are still the same arrive July 21^st leave July 24^th Wallowa Lake Oregon

Breakdown on payment: (this is for all the nights not per night)

            RV sites $45.00

            Tent sites $30.00

Food: Adult 18 and up $25.00                 11-17^th $15.00

           5-10 $10.00 and 4 and under are free

                

So an example might be my family---

            EX:  Tammy, Mark, Ambria 10, Saige 8, Rylan 5

45.00+25.00+25.00+10.00+10.00+10.00=125.00

There are only 4 RV sites left , there were 7, 3 have already been claimed (there are now only 2 RV sites left). However if you do not get an RV site you may still be able to bring a small camper, you just wouldn’t have electricity. We also may be able to run electricity from some of the electrical ones to the tents. The sites have lots of room in the back for extra tents.

            Remember you do still have the option of lodging in town at Wallowa lake or Joseph, but it will be at your own expense. All the cabins, inns, hotels in Wallowa Lake are very close to the campground.

            Boats with motors are permitted at Wallowa Lake so you are welcome to bring them. There is plenty to do around town in Wallowa Lake.

            **if you arrive earlier or stay later all other meals would need to be provided from you. Also you may want to bring snacks for children; if they are anything like mine they think they need snacks 3-5 times a day.

We would appreciate if every child of Grandma’s informs their children. I will send letters to everyone I have an address for but after that it is up to you to get them what they need.

            We would also really encourage everyone to send an updated photo of each individual family (not as a whole but as separate families EX: Each of Uncle Joe and Aunt Kathy’s children would send a photo of their families). Even if you aren’t able to attend the family reunion we would appreciate these for a fun chart we are planning on making. You can e-mail, face book (tag), or send it regular mail.

            Again we would like to have at least ½ your payment by April 1^st 2011 and all by June 1^st 2011. You can make Checks payable to Mark or Tammy Brennan and note on it REUNION. We are constantly on the lookout for good grocery deals that we can buy in advance so the more $$$$ we have turned in the more food we can supply-yummy yummy.

Our summer trip to Wallowa

The view from the top of the tram is well worth the money.

 The deer come up nice and close to you.

 Yeah it is not hunting season.

 They are not afraid of anything-but we are afraid of Lyme disease so we don't touch.

 The chipmunk and squirrels are very fun to feed and crawl all over you.

 The Brennan's on a beautiful August afternoon.

Next year will be fun and full of adventures so we hope everyone will attend. The prices for fees will be $25.00 per 18 yrs and older  11-18 $15.00 and 0-10 $10.00. This money will help pay for food since most of the reunion money goes into paying for the reservations and other expenses. Thank you and feel free to contact us at anytime.

THE DATES

Hold on to your britches- by george we have the dates.
Smith Family Reunion will be July 21st-24th 2011 that is a Thursday through a Sunday. If you can find a spot you are welcome to go up sooner. We have 7 full hook ups and 8 tent. There is a lot of room on the sites (quite a few of the tent ones have a bunch of field behind them) so there is plenty of room for everyone. If you are not interested in the camping dynamics go ahead and reserve your lodging in town soon. You will want to reserve in Wallowa lake or Joseph. Wallowa lake hotels/inns/cabins aren't really that far from the camp ground so we will still all be close.

Coming soon we will start sending out the amount that will need to be paid for food etc...
This year we are going to continue the auction but we might also do a few other fun earning money endevors for future reunions.

We cant wait and look forward to being with everyone.

Trial information

We are planning our next reunion for 2011. So far this is what we have planned-----------------Ok we are planning for sometime in July anywhere from the 2-4th week. It would be a Thurs-Sunday. Right now it will just depend on what we can get when we reserve as to when we will reserve it for. I have had 2 years to scout out different spots in Oregon and have found this place to be the best. There is plenty to do here and lots of fun. For those people who don't prefer to camp there are lots of hotels, inns, cabins. Just look under google-Wallowa Lake Oregon lodging. We will be setting up fees and getting more information out there in October. This is just the beginning of it all.
